Kathmandu Metropolitan Full Scholarship

The Kathmandu Metropolitan Full Scholarship provides financial support to over 1,500 students pursuing the +2 Science program within Kathmandu Metropolitan City. This scholarship aims to foster academic growth among students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring equitable access to quality education in institutional schools.

Scholarship Quota Distribution

Scholarship seats are allocated across various categories as follows:

• 40% for students from community schools
• 5% for students studying in institutional schools under a scholarship
• 9% for students with permanent residency in Kathmandu Metropolitan City
• 1% for students residing in landfill site-affected areas

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the +2 Science scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Achieve a minimum GPA of 1.6 in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE)
• Complete SEE from a community school or an institutional school with a scholarship
• Hold permanent residency in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, with special provisions for students from landfill-affected areas

Application Process

1. Application Fee: Free
2. Entrance Examination: Applicants must pass an entrance exam consisting of 100 multiple-choice questionsbased on the Class 10 curriculum:
   • 30 questions from Mathematics
   • 30 questions from Science
   • 30 questions from English
   • 10 questions from General Knowledge
3. Duration: 2 hours
4. Passing Marks: A minimum score of 40% is required to qualify (No negative marking)

Applicants must submit the following documents:

1. SEE Admit Card
2. Recent passport-sized photograph
3. Citizenship or birth registration certificate
4. SEE or equivalent mark sheet and character certificate
5. Recommendation letter for students from community schools
6. Recommendation letter for students studying on scholarships in institutional schools
7. Relevant documents for reserved categories (e.g., landfill-affected areas)
